There are six harness slot positions on the Evenflo SureRide/Titan 65 convertible car seat. The spacing of the 3rd and 4th harness slots is related to the placement of the tether in the shell of the car seat. The space also provides a visual cue to caregivers about which slots should be used in rear-facing versus forward-facing mode. As a general rule, the bottom three slots are for rear-facing use, while the upper three slots are for forward-facing use. In the United States, the lowest of the forward-facing harness slots may also be used in rear-facing mode. The car seat has been tested in these harness configurations and is appropriate for use as noted above.
Evenflo car seats meet government standards and are tested even further than required. Evenflo tests all of our car seats to energy levels approximately twice that of the federal crash test standard. Additionally, our engineers developed the Evenflo Side Impact test protocol which simulates the energy in severe 5-star government side impact tests conducted for automobiles. Now Evenflo is leading the industry by incorporating a dynamic rollover crash test. 2b1af7f3a8
